So arcade gaming is in my blood. I love it. But arcades in the US are all but dead....thanks to home consoles. I miss arcades....alot. Especially in the South East USA. There are basically zero good arcades that keep up to date with their fighter cabs or even repair them frequently. I'd have to go to California or New York to get a game of Tekken 6 in...or Street FIghter IV.
So that sucks.
But....I'm working to change that...I may not be able to afford all new games all the time for an arcade machine....but I can have my own machine at least...and keep up with the emulation scene and try to buy boards and systems as I can afford them.
So thats what I'm doing.
In my last blog I posted a couple of arcade designs that I got you guys to vote on. And I appreciated the feedback. Being the douche that can't settle on 1 thing to save his own life....altered the design yet again....so here it is:
Pretty spiffy yeah? Its a take on the Tekken 5 style Lindberg cabinet.
Here's the marquee I'm gonna hang above the monitor:

I'm going to start building it this weekend. Along with 2 more arcade sticks. So its gonna be a busy weekend for sure. Which I'm fine with.
But I need to get a PC put together as well to slap in this bad boy. I've got one....but I need one with more recent hardware so I can run Street Fighter IV like butter.
I'll be sure to keep the camera handy to take pictures of the process as my buddy Chainer and I get the cab built. I think I can knock it out in 2 weekends if I focus.
Have a good weekend everyone.
