And it turns out that I haven't been completely abandoned by all  my friends. One of them just went on hiatus due to some personal problems that came up.
Just turned out he was the one I had been trying to call all last week and hadn't heard back from him.. lol.

lifes funny that way.

I was just glad that he finally got ahold of me.

Something small...but it made me feel good when he said it. I said to him "dont worry about it man...just glad ya got back to me..was worried I was on the out." He replied...
shit man...no way. You are my brother."

brother. that made me feel good.

So things look up alittle in that regard.

Jules hasn't been feeling too well lately. Just overall feeling like crap. Hopefully it'll clear up soon. I hate it when she's sick. We hardly get to see each other as it is...and when shes sick it just means it could be a solid week or so between visits. Sucks for both of us.

Found out I have sleep apnea....several people who've heard me sleep say that I'll breathe ok for a while, then suddenly just stop for almost a full minute. Never knew that. And apparantly its a serious thing. o_O?? I dunno. It hasn't killed me....or put me in any real danger. So Im not worried about it.

Been doing some thinking lately...about blogs I've read, about my own situation....just people in general and whats going on. And I'm extremely thankful for what I have and that even though it can be rough sometimes....i have people I can turn to for help.

I've got a nice roof over my head...a bed to sleep in, my health (mostly...lol), food to eat when i want it, a beautiful girlfriend who loves me and cares, the 2old2play community and my clan, family.....I'm a very blessed person.

So thank you all out there in 2old2play. My world wouldn't be the same without you crazy bastards in it.

As you lose weight you should see a big difference in your sleep. It doesn't take much to see great gains. As soon as you can get some kind of insurance, get in for a sleep study. People have died from untreated apnea. Football player Reggie White is probably the most famous casualty. I have apnea too and use my machine religously especially since I get so little sleep with babies in the house.

I have/had sleep apnea, and yeah it's pretty serious. Can lead to serious heart problems. Plus you don't realize that you are waking up every 30mins and never getting any real sleep. I felt like shit all the time, found out I had apnea, got it delt with. And now I feel great. A good nights sleep is very important.

Yes, sleep apnea is a dangerous thing. You can die from it. Not only do you not get the rest you need, because you don't get this rest, you body gets worn down and makes you more susceptible to disease. You may think you slept all night, but in reality, you may have never entered REM sleep, and that stage is the most important stage in sleep. If you haven't done so already, I'd recommend getting a sleep study done. They may recommend a CPAP (sp?) machine for you to use at night when you sleep. Also, if you drink alcohol or take pain meds or muscle relaxors before bed, those will contribute to your sleep apnea, as they relax your body and muscles, and the muscle the holds the soft tissue at the rear of the throat up. This tissue collapses and causes what is known as "Obstructive Sleep Apnea" which is most likely the form you apnea you have. Also, apnea is linked to your weight. Are you overweight? If so, that also has a correlation to your apnea. Lose the weight, and the apnea will be reduced or even go away. Get it checked out either way. -Soup

Go for a sleep test. It takes a little getting use to but a cpap machine makes all the difference in the world.
