It sucks in Silver land....

Well....that whole ordeal with my Live subscription I posted a few blogs ago finally came back to haunt me. I thought that if I put in a 12-month prepaid card I got from amazon, it'd automatically make that the default subscription. Oh not when old Microsoft smells the chance to charge a credit card it doesn't.

So after calling Microsoft and being on the phone with a rep for almost an hour......its getting sorted out.

It was a long 3-step process.

Step 1.) Put in a new credit card since the old one is dead.....and let them charge me $49.99.

Step 2.) Cancel the Gold subscription and refund me the $49.99 thus setting me back to silver status.

Step 3.) Input a new code provided via email as a token to replace the gold card that did not take properly.

I'm up to step 2. They've charged my card and cancelled the account. Just waiting on the refund to go back onto my card, and waiting for the new code token.

Sucks balls. But it'll get sorted soon. Hopefully I'll get a code before X-mas.
