Shared on Sun, 08/31/2008 - 20:46Spent the last 2 days measuring, cutting, drilling and routing the ever living shit out of some wood.
And here are the spoils so far. Its still WIP, but its getting closer to the final product. Tomorrow after I fix Jules Xbox, Im gonna start drilling and setting all the parts together and start the prep for painting. Since its particle board, I've gotta use some heavy (fast drying) non-water based paint to prime that puppy.
This first one is gonna be a PS2/PS3 joystick with that Silent Hill image on it. The 2nd and 3rd sticks will be Street Fighter IV oriented for the Xbox 360.
Here be the pics: (click for a larger view)
(the guide, start and back buttons will go here on the back panel).
the assembly line begins
Silent Hill overlay in place with buttons.
And here's the artwork thats gonna go on the 2nd and 3rd joystick. And the Akuma one is gonna be mine.
I'm going to be building a stick for each of the SF IV characters....so we're looking at 12 sticks total. Gonna be using Happ joysticks and competition (convex) buttons. Each one will be painted to match the image ontop. So Akuma's will have red & black alternating buttons, Abel's will have Blue & White.
The Guide, Start and Back buttons will be on the back side of the joystick.
Once I get a few more of these made and sold, I'll probably start taking commissions if anyone is interested. And since you're all 2old2play, you'll get the Gatsu discount.
