Let there be light!!!

Well had an interesting week & weekend. Spent the week with Julia since her mom was out of town. That was really nice and relaxing. The bad thing was, the LAN party we were gonna have on Saturday night got cancelled. Jules mom decided to come back into town earlier than she had originally stated.

So we got bumped out of our location and I had to cancel. Was a damn shame since we have like 13-14 people lined up for it and I had been looking forward to it for almost a month now. Oh well....there'll be other opportunities....and shit happens.

In Other News:
Julia and I found a new apartment this weekend. 2 bedroom, 1 bath, water & trash included for $450 a month. Not bad at all. We're gonna go talk to the guy about it this week, get him the deposit and start packing. We're hopefully gonna be able to start moving in the 1st week of July. Which thankfully I have off of work. So that works out nicely. Whether or not everything else works out nicely is another matter entirely. But I'm being positive about it.

I'm genuinely excited and a little scared. My first place with my lady. It'll be a welcome change....and we'll have our privacy. We can host LAN's or movie nights anytime we want....and most importantly....can tell her mom to bugger off if she calls to harass us. And we'll be comfortable once we get past that first month. The first month will be rough because its 2 months rent upfront, turning the power on ($150 about), getting phone/internet (& all new fees with that), and all the small things we'll need like the cleaning stuff, dishes....all that. It'll be a rough first month  money-wise....but it'll be worth it once we get settled in. And we get 1 month rent back after the 1st month is over.

Its not a huge place...but for the cost its just right for us. We've got room for all of our shit, and with a little help from my rents we can fill it with some decent furniture and goodies.
