1.) RAM has gone bad.
2.) Video Card drivers
Last night my PC reset itself when I was trying to capture some video with my new cap card, it gave me no driver error when it came back up. So I thought...well its a memory failure or something then. Going with that, I removed my 2 oldest sticks of RAM, started the machine...kosher for a long while.
Ran Firefox, BitLord and a couple other RAM-hoggish programs....and even listened to an MP3 while I was at it. No hickup. A little slow...but thats because almost 1GB of RAM had been removed. So no surprise there.
Closed all that out....started up my capture device. Went to capture a video with VirtualDub (because the software that came with the card sucks balls), and it goes ok for a few clips...then my pc restarts on its own again.
So I go into system preferences and turn off "Reboot on Fail". Started it back up....and it ran fine for a while.
Tonight I'm gonna try to find an older driver for my video card and see if thats been the thing shitting bricks in my system.
I'm gonna figure this shit out if it kills me.
In other news:
Lost Odyssey drops today. I'm stoked for it. I loves me some JRPGs....so this'll be a real treat since Blue Dragon was more than a little dissapointing.
Might also pick up GRAW2 to play with the clan. Dunno if I'll like it or not though. Got the 1st one and liked it ok...just could never get a MP match going. By the time I got a 360 it wasn't the "ZOMG Get this!" game anymore.
Not sure if I'm gonna like it...because I've heard it being compared to COD4 & RB6:Vegas gameplay. I love Vegas...but not a COD4 fan.
Is it worth picking up if I can snag it for a good used price?
