Played some Street Fighter IV last night..

Played some online matches with a buddy of mine (Chainer). Had some fun. He was getting pretty frustrated though. So I told him lets swap hosts and let him run the room. I can now see and understand his frustration. He went from not being able to pull off moves, to pulling off moves, hitting faster than I was, and just generally kicking my ass. Same thing when I hosted. But overall it was fun to get back into the fighting mood. A lot of rust still has to be worked off, but I'm getting there.

The sad part is that we both have good connections...and he lives about 20 minutes away from me. So....very weird. But in any case. We both decided that fighters are best played in the same room, where we can shit-talk each other face to face and not have to worry about connection issues.

Just means to that I need to start working on my arcade cabinet again. I doubt I'll have it done before Super Street Fighter IV drops....but I'll give it a try.

Been trying to find a place to hold a local LAN party. But no such luck. Any potential place I find either is too expensive for a smaller event, or doesn't cater to "thank kind of party". So my hopes of hosting a local LAN has been shot to hell for a while. Which really really sucks....because I used to have LANs all the time. Theres 1 or 2 places I have yet to try. I'll post an update if I get any info set in stone.
