So what do you do....

When your boss storms out of the room during a meeting....and starts yelling at his wife that we were a bunch of "fat-ass idiots".....slamming things around, throwing things.....and just repeating "idiots.....morons.....you'll know whats going on.......goddammit!"


I left because I frankly didn't feel like spending the night in prison for assault & battery. But now comes the question for tomorrow.....do I confront him about it? Or just leave it alone, do my job and try to forget it happened.....and if it happens again, ignore him.


Its just so frustrating because I wanted to say something to him....I wanted to yell back worse than what he had said. But I knew it would only lead to the night in jail so I thought better of it....told my co-workers I'd see them tomorrow, and I left for the day.


There's not really any other good job opportunities around here involving what I do now. And nowhere thats hiring that needs my kind of skills. So I dunno what to do other than grin and bear it for now. Take my blood pressure stuff and pray I don't flip shit on the old bastard.

I just got off a telecon that ended in almost the exact same way. Thankfully I was neither causing or receiving any of the fire going around. Stressful times it must be.

No kidding. And since he runs the business.....he doesn't really have a boss I can go talk to.\r \r His wife will just say \"he's always like that...just try not to let it get to you.\"\r \r Which I should probably do....but it once I get angry...it takes a long time for me to cool off and get reoriented.

I'd say...tie him to a chair. Have his wife in front of him...even if you need to take a hunder showers afterwards. Then just as your finishing up...pull out and paint our clan logo all over her back.

You know what to do - nothing. In this economy, and as you said with limited prospects for better employment, sit back, shut up, and continue to collect an income.\r \r It's a bitter pill, yeah...but nothing good can come from telling a business owner he's a douche.

Yep, that's thesad thing. With the economy in the shitter, employers know they have the employees by the balls so they'll pretty much just stick it in your ass and know you have t smile about it. It's bullhit but someday the tide will turn...someday.

When I was in college I had a part-time job at Taco Bell. One evening this little fella who had never been in charge and a short mans complex come in the back and caught me and a friend talking. He throw a dirty rag at me and said \"time enough to lean, time enough to clean\" I snapped (my first Angergasm) and hit him in the back of his head so hard his glasses flew off. Thats how I got fired from my first job.
