The surgery was a success.

Well I'm alive and kicking and in very little pain. So all is well I would assume.

On some good pain meds and an antibiotic just incase of infection. Been eating nothing but scrambled eggs and fruit smoothies. although thats alot healthier than I normally eat. lol.

the surgery went without a hitch...although the needle part did not go smoothly at all.

it took them 6 of 7 sticks before they finally got a vein. And they vein they did get was in the top of my hand. so yeah...now I hate needles even more thanks to this experience.

in other news.

got an hd-dvd add on for my 360 and I've been able to watch a few flicks with it. So far just king kong, transformers and batman begins. but as I look through the HDdvd movie lists....I dont see some movies I really want in HD. Well guess what format they are in....Bluray.

dammit.

I'm tired of the format war bullshit. Both are about the same damn thing quality-wise.

so the question comes up...should I invest in bluray as well since I've already got a hddvd player? Because as it seems right now, HDDVD is cheaper to get into because the players are cheaper, and bluray players are still in the $800 range (cept the PS3). So should I try to get a PS3 at some point and use it as a bluray player? or just give it another 6 months and see where the format wars goes?

thats it for now.

-gatsu out!

There is also a Samsung dual format HD and Blu player for like $700. This thing won't be over anytime soon. Maybe in 5 years. So in the mean time, it's the best option.

Yes it SUCKS! Many, including CNET claim that the HD-DVD format is a better picture. They both use a Blue Ray laser but have different decryption algorithms. Google HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray picture quality. \r \r I have found the same fucking problem you have Gatsu. Many of the movies I want are in BLU. Supposedly there is to be more availability of HD-DVD movies in the coming months. Nothing matters though other than it SUCKS. I keep thinking about the stinkin' PS3 but I've said all along NO NO. SUCKS.

Did you pick up on the general \"theme\" of my comment? Huh?
