Well now that I've kicked things off with a dork-like mood.
I figured I would give everyone an update on what's been going on. Been somewhat busy this weekend. At least trying to appear so. Did some Photoshop work that I'll be showing off in the next day or so. Nothing too amazing. Just some dvd replacement covers I've been wanting to get done.
Friday I downloaded and played the Tenchu Z demo, the Overlord demo and the Shadowrun demo. And I'd have to say that I like them all. Shadowrun being the only one I wouldn't purchase though. Why? I don't care for the weapons.
Graphics are nice...magic is cool. Just don't dig the weapons. And if I don't like the tools in which I'm killing with...why bother killing.
Tenchu Z I dug alot. The controls were a little hairy at first, but once I got used to them it was like butter. A definite buy for me.
Overlord was just mindless fun. Killing EVERYTHING with your goblin crew around you. I'm probably gonna pick this and Tenchu up when they drop. If they haven't already.
Got to spend Saturday with Jules. We went out to eat, then came back to my place and watched movies all day.
We watched: Borat, The Host, The Hamiltons, and They Live.
Borat - funny as hell...but wrong in so many many ways.
The Host - a good Korean creature flick.
The Hamiltons - one of the "8 Horrorfest, films to die for flick"...not really horror. More like a vampire coming of age flick.
They Live - awsome. just....just fucking awsome. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Keith David fighting in an alley. Worth cost of admission.
Also picked up the Highlander anime, which was excellent, and Hannibal Rising. I had seen Hannibal Rising in theatres and had been anxiously awaiting the dvd release. Now my Hannibal collection is complete. All 4 Hannibal Lectur flicks together at last.
As far as other more important stuff goes...I'm still debating and trying to come up with some answers and just trying to work through some personal struggles. My clan and everyone on the site who I game with has been really helpful in keeping my mind off of things and letting me escape through Gears or whatever else I play. I thank you for that.
That'll be it for now. Got some work to do. NOT!
Gatsu OUT!!
