More On The Washer

The technician came out Saturday before last and he was very nice. He worked on the washer for a few minutes and determined that some parts needed to be replaced. Parts that would have to be ordered. Ugh.

He ordered the parts and told us that they would be dispatching a tech the next Saturday to install the parts.

We stayed home all day that Saturday since we don't know when he will be arriving. He never showed up.

I called them on Sunday and the lady on the phone said that the tech had marked in his log that we were not home. WTF?!?!?!?

I tell her that we were home all day specifically because we knew he was coming and there were no voice mails or missed calls on my phone. She apologized and told us that they would have someone out on Tuesday.

The tech shows up on Tuesday and opens the box that had arrived via UPS last week with the parts in it.  He tells us that all the parts are not there.  AAAAAARRRRGH!!

He tells us to call them when the part arrives and then leaves.  Ten minutes later (no lie) the mailman shows up with the part and I call the tech's cell phone - no answer of course but I leave a message that the part is now here, please come back and install it.  I also call the dispatch office and they send him a message on his terminal in the van.  He never came back.

At this point Cutie calls up Lowes Home Improvement where we bought the unit and goes over all of this along with the price we paid for this machine and after a few phone calls, they have agreed to replace our washer with a brand new unit!!

I had a similar problem with a front loaded washer a year ago. We bought a Fridgedaire from Lowe's, and to make a long story short we ended up getting a brand new washer after being jerked around by repairmen and Electrolux who is the parent company for it seems like every appliance out there. Good luck with your new one.

Way to go, but that is alot of trouble to go through, but in the end you got a better washer and hope this one does not break.

That shit always happens. All these guys are like cable guys, they tell you they will be there the next morning and you end up calling them every day for two weeks asking them when they are going to show up. This electrician that was supposed to be checking my motorized gate has got me on the run around for like two weeks. I fucking going nuts having to exit the car, open the gate, exit the car close the gate. The worst part is when I'm leaving the house I need to close it from the inside.

That is great. There is nothing more frustrating than poor customer service when you really need it most. Be sure and post a pic of that shiny new beauty! :)
