Shared on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 16:18I work in the IT department of a decent sized state university. Our department recently sent out a campus wide email warning the staff and faculty of an email phishing scam that was making the rounds at the time.
Here is the text of that email, edited for privacy:
============================
There have been several reports of students at SFA receiving email similar to the one below. These emails are phishing attempts designed to give hackers vital information necessary to access your mySFA account and are not being sent by SFA. No official at Stephen F. Austin State University will EVER solicit this type of information from you via email. If you receive this message, please disregard the instructions. Thank you,
Mr. Blank
