I love getting beat downs in Halo 3, getting some head shots and dropping death grenades in CoD4 and I love Setting people in fire with incendiaries in R6V2. My trouble is the controller layouts. Playing more that one game per day will mess you up.
My 360 was out for repair for the last several weeks and I wasn't able to play. On Tuesday it was back and the first thing I did was take out my brand new (and dusty) copy of R6V2 and pop it in. I played all evening and had a big smile the whole time. I was back and lovin' it. I even got in some terrorist hunt with some clanmates. On Wednesday I did the same thing, playing for hours. But then, CoD4 started calling so I changed up to that. That was a big mistake.
I jumped in a game with some Timmies and was paralyzed. I couldn't do anything right. Every time I wanted to crouch I threw a grenade - alerting all my enemies as to my exact location. Every time I tried to crouch, I would stab wildly into the air. Sometimes I would try to take cover, only to zoom in on my opponent. I was a freaking mess! Of course, the Timmies were very understanding and supportive. Yeah right. I don't have to repeat what they said here, you already know.
It took approx. 6 games to start getting back in the groove. By the time I quit I was doing very well, and was able to level up a little more from completing some achievements. But boy, that was embarrassing. I have had similar trouble moving to Halo 3 also. I know you can alter the came controller to fit your needs but I don't think there is much you can do to cover enough bases to make it worth it. If any of you have some things you do to make this easier, please share. I know this is nothing new and all of us in the gaming community have to deal with this, it's just that I hate sucking! And I hate Timmies who pick on me, lol
