Damn knots

I went out today and bought a book on how to tie knots for the cub scouts.I have never seen a book so damn confuseing.Take the rope and tie it around the standing part of the rope and coil the overhand over the underhand portion of the rope.Then take the end of the rope and place it between to the two coils.Then pull it on gently to make a figure eight knot.Then take the other end and thread it back through other fithteen coils you have made.


Christ even the drawings are just as confuseing as the text next to it.I managed to finally tie one of them after a couple of hours of fighting the rope.I'm not even sure I can repeat it tomorrow for the scouts tomorrow night.Well I guess I could always do the scouts motto "Do Your Best".
