Gridiron Goes Lone Wolf!!

After reading a recent blog by hubristic I decided that maybe it's time to hit the lone wolf playlist a little harder, and start trying for some achievements. Well I did, and almost immediatly I found myself getting a few, and relized that over that last few months I've gotten quite a bit better at Halo 3. I quit going to lone wolf for a long time, because really I wasnt as strong a player when alone. But now, after a few months of playing regularly, and hanging out with people im learning from, lone wolf feels alot easier. Im now up to level 11 in LW, started a 4 at the beggining of the week. Not a huge jump but its not like ive played alot of games in LW. Maybe 5 a day, and I consistanly find myself in the top 3, and winning much more often.

So, the achievements.. first off I just wanted to play some LW see what happend.. wasnt really trying off the bat for achievements, I wanted to gauge on my skill level, and see what to try for first :). Anyways.. in my very first game in LW in prolly a month.. I got my Triple Kill Achievement. A few games later I decided to try for the Lee R Wilson Memorial(5 Sticks) Well this didnt go so well at first.. Seems like I just couldnt get on a map that had enough stickies.. or where I'd spawn close enough to a sticky to keep some in my pocket. So day 1(Monday) ended with getting my Triple Kill, and leveling up to 8.

Day 2 in LW(Wedensday), went fairly well. Leveled up a bit more, 8 to 10, I would also get my 5 Sticks Achiement fairly quick, in only the 3rd game I played, on Snowbound, I would get NINE sticks, well the 9th wasnt a stick but I got 9 kills with a plasma grenade, 8 Sticks, and 16 kills to get 2nd place. Most of the sticks were of the, RUN RIGHT AT YOU NATURE, however there are 2-3 very nice sticks that I got as well :). So, after getting what I feel is my most prized achievement so far, Lee R Wilson that is. I love sticking people, in fact when you see my file share I put up clips of ALOT of my sticks.. and im hoping to one day create a sticky-tage..so stay tuned for that. Either way.. I played a few more games.. not veteoing games like KoTH, and BALL.. in hopes that possibly such a game would allow me to get an Overkill. And It ALMOST happend.. in a game of KotH on Narrows.. but somehow my face shot on the 4th guy didnt kill him.. and I died :(, after watching the video had i just jumped.. his melee woulda got me late enough I'd have gotten the kill.. but oh well.. they'll be plenty more Objective games to get that :)

So, 2 Days in LW, 2 Achievements Gained... then in Day 3(Thurs), I wasnt in the mood for LW, however I went into Campaign mode, to level 6(since it never gave me the achievement for beating it, and STILL hasnt...wtf?) Anyways I got my head shot honcho, and in the few games I DID play in LW I got my level to a 11 or 12. So things are going well in LW for Gridiron... atleast for now.

As for a list of remaining Achievements.. it's still long but here's what I need!!

Refuge(6th Mission, shoulda had this TWICE)

Campaign on Normal,Heroic, and Legendary(should have this on normal but wtf? either way one day i'll beat it on legendary and get all 3)

Two For One(I suck with a laser but maybe i'll hit ranked big team and get lucky)

Too Close to the Sun(which mission can i do in campaign to get this???)

Overkill(almost had it.. not to worried with it.. its only a shotty and an objective game lol)

We're in for some chop(I hate equipment, so what do i do?? throw the degenerator in front of a mongoose? or a trip mine? something? lol)

Killing Frenzy(This is prolly gonna be the hardest for me.. FFA isnt my best gametype however, maybe i can get a good snipe spree)

Steppin Razor(hate the sword.. they made it almost worthless in H3.. i cant count the times i got this on H2.. but now having to run around with it in your hand makes it hard lol we'll see.. sword games are potent in the LW playlist)

Mongoose Mowdown(just getting lucky)

Used car salesman(once again ranked big team, or whats a good campaign level to get this?)

Maybe next time buddy(got it in social a few times.. just gonna have to let someone board me)

After all those.. all thats left is getting the POINTS on each mission in campaign.. which I have no clue how to get that many points.. havent really looked into doing it.. I have all the skulls, and Marathon Man.. in fact i can help with getting you both if you need it.. So.. reply to this, or send a PM if you have any suggestions on how to get some of these I still need... And i'll be keeping you posted on it..also.. prolly do another blog monday.. update on how my teams panning out..and talk some mlg :)
