Call of Duty 2, Veteranized

I don't know why, but I decided on Sunday that it would be fun to play Call of Duty 2 on Veteran.  So off I go, two shots later off I go again because you die awfully fast, and often.  Most of you know this by now, as you have probably either completed the Veteran campaign or traded the rascal in for something shinier.

I didn't think it was too bad at first, I was able to get through the training stuff, got the Winter War achievement, then went to fight in the desert.  This got much harder.  Then I got to that ambush part, almost freaking impossible, and I've been struggling along ever since. 

Now it's D-Day.  I can't believe how chaotic this battle is.  Plotting along I fight and shoot and run my way through the point where I'm in a farmhouse and I'm trying to escape.  My hope is that I can make it through sometime this week.  I hear the silo mission is difficult as well.

Oddly I think my game skipped a bunch of missions.  I went from Winter War to Tank Squadrons.  I thought the bug had been fixed a while ago, or maybe I'm mistaken of the order of the missions.  Hopefully I can soon report success, then I'm off to mate pinatas.
