To the best of my recollection, this is how it all started: My wife said she was unhappy with the dining room, and was considering redoing it.
The dining and living rooms are small, and we had previously kept the china cabinet in the living room directly across from the dining room. I suggested the dining room would look more complete if we were to move the china hutch into the dining room, and take a leaf out of the table. And so it was done. All of this of course, was preceded by installing crown moulding in the dining room.
Okay, dining room looks great, we're happy. Now the living room needs work. So we paint, install chair rail and crown molding and of course we need to procure a sofa because the living room is empty.
Great, we're happy now, living room still needs a bit of work but it is mostly in the way of furniture to be purchased. Moving on to the kitchen. Wouldn't wanescoting look great? Of course it will. This requires removal of wallpaper (above the level of the wanescoting) and painting. Not to mention installation of the stuff itself. But I have time to get this all done right? No rush? No... a refrigerator was on sale, so we bought it (see previous blog) so that means the smart thing to do is go ahead and start the job in the section behind the refrigerator.
Ok, wanescoting is installed, everything is painted, I'm doing ok, fridge doesn't fit. Buy a new one (smaller and more expensive somehow) and go ahead and finish the rest of the walls in the kitchen. I am completely to blame for this (it was masterminded by my wife I'm sure), but I have all of the floor mouldings off, and I'm thinking, hell, while the kitchen is prepped, we may as well redo this floor. It sucks at life and never comes clean, and we're already this far into it. So it shall be.
This brings me to about now. In gaming terms I have:
But I am still working on this:
And after that I intend to go after:
We'll see how that goes.
Next episode: COD2 progress. Amazingly, there is some.
