Ladder of Doom

I'm still battling through D-Day on COD2.  My progress has been slowed by time constraints, as I'm only able to play for about an hour early in the morning.

However, I'm on the Silo mission and sniping mortar crews.  I've gotten to the checkpoint of about a minute left before reinforcements arrive.  This morning I'm playing, and all of a sudden I see "objective achieved".  Sweet.  I snipe a few more to clear the area, objective achieved.  I need to go meet up with the Sgt. 

I learn a very valuable lesson here, I don't know how to operate a ladder.  I fall to my death.  I guess there is no checkpoint between sniping for the time limit and meeting with the Sgt, as I am put back to 1 minute left before reinforcements arrive. 

DOH!

I really want to get through this, as I need to get my Gears of War back on.  I haven't played in too long.
