Newest Purchase

I recently bought a laptop computer.  I know, I'm making sure I stay a few steps behind technology at all times.  We actually bought the laptop for my wife (she thinks).  She's going back to school and we thought it would be helpful for her.  I remember when laptops first came out and were consistently two or three times the cost of a desktop unit.  Freaking amazing how low the prices have become. 

So anyways somehow I have managed to create a network that can share files and printers.  It wasn't too hard.  But I do have two wireless connection icons in my system tray.  Do I need both?  I don't know how I did that.  I'm unable to delete either, but can deactivate both.  I also get a message all the time saying a new UpNP device has been located.  I think it's trying to point to the router.

If you can't tell I'm not very technical.  I'm a money person by trade.
