My dog was kind enough to wake me up this morning and alert me that there is no emergency and she was going back to bed. However I was unable to do the same so I went downstairs to fire up the Xbox and try to advance a little.
I'm still on the D-Day missions. Progress from my last post: I took some advice Tank provided in the forums a long time ago, and ran like hell out of the farmhouse, made it through the trenches, and managed to survive the four minutes until support arrived. I was hoping that was the end of D-Day but alas, no. Silo comes next.
I did well in the first part, where you snipe the Germans while your troops advance, but was stuck prior to taking the house marked objective A. Finally this morning I figured out a strategy somewhere between suicide run and calculated elimination of enemies. I cleared the first house. Then I had to get cleaned up and go to work. My hope is to finish D-Day this weekend, and hopefully the game next week. Only a year or so behind everyone else, right?
