without a cigarette. They keep calling to me, though, but I haven't given in. Resistance is NOT futile. I even made it through the day without biting anyone's head off. All in all, I didn't even get that grouchy. Last week was harder than today was. I guess the stronger dose of dope really helped. And I guess I'll have to start eating breakfast. The directions say to take it after eating, but I don't eat in the morning. So far it hasn't bothered me... until today. I felt real weak and shaky, kind of jittery, and nauseas. I ran up to the store and got me a sausage biscuit and felt fine afterwards. I know, Bas, you warned me and I didn't listen.

The cravings seem to come in waves. They'll hit me relentlessly for 15 - 30 minutes. Once I make it through, though, they let up for a while. I still want one, but it's more of a stalking shadow than raging lunatic type desire. I think I might put on some weight. I've noticed myself looking in the pantry or the fridge when I'm fiending for a smoke. I'm trying to watch myself, but damn, now it's a battle on two fronts.

not smoking is hard...i wouldnt have ever got through it if i didnt have nicorette gum. my advice to you is start working out and get that frustration out through physical activity so you wont take it out on everybody else around you, and buy cartons of nicorette gum.

I quit 3 years ago. It's hard...really hard. Patches from Walgreens help like you would not believe. Good as the name brand and half the cost.

Chew lots of gum, nicorette or otherwise! Try not to snack too much, but do it if you have to. You can lose that weight after you are comfortable again. Make smoking undesirable. Brush your teeth after you eat, don't have sex (j/k), and try to avoid moments when you would usually light up. We have all been there, and we are all cheering for you. Keep it up!
