So the nursing home called my mother to say she's sorry about my father passing, of course we hand't been told this. So my mother calls the hospital to check on his status and he's still with us. Keep in mind we are up set prior to calling the hospital my mother's in half tears making this call all to find out some mother fucker gave wrong info to the nursing home not mention the fact that if that were the case why would a nursing home be told before the family???..I mean this bad enough waiting for the man to pass but to tell us something that isn't fucking true??????

Sorry guys I had to vent this one

Thanks

When I working in nursing homes, the family finds out, and we typically find out when the family comes in to get belongings. Sorry for your experience though, totally uncalled for.

That's inexcusable. My mother passed on Sunday from a long, drawn out illness. So I feel your frustration. It's hard enough without fire drills like that. Hang in there.

The nursing home administration must be retarded. It's one thing to make a dumb mistake, but something entirely different to lead a woman to believe her husband is dead. I hope their nursing staff is better than the administration.

@tactr yeah your right @Dank- I know huh ? @Benstrad- I'm very sorry for your loss . My mother is beside herself with this I kept my composure for her but I wanted flip.out @JP- it really wasn't the nursing home they called the hospital where my father is cause nursing home is holding his bed and they have to let Medicare know and when they called patient info they said he was gone and the nursing home people had become close with my mom and called to offer condolences well the lady on the end was crying for how bad she felt . We don't blame the nursing home its the hospital we are mad at ..sorry for the long explanation
