I'm back!

 Ya, ya, ya, I know, I wasn't gone very long and headline news it wasn't. My computer died (sort of) and I thought I was screwed. Everything locked up on my daughter a few days ago and no amount of key-pressing or mouse-clicking was doing any good so I shut it down. Wait a couple of seconds, turn it back on and WTF!!! Lights flashing on the tower, all kinds of beeping from inside the tower, command screen of the monitor with all kinds of gobbldygook I have no frickin clue what any of it means and then nothing. Kinda like the end of the movie War Games when all the screens go nuts and just go blank. I'm thinking...ummm, this can't be good. Check all the connections, make sure nothing's come loose, try again. Same flashing lights, same beeping (Christ, you'd swear someone was trying to break into Fort Knox). Now I'm thinking...Shit, this is gonna cost me, I just know it. Being a computard I have no idea what's wrong or what to do. I do know that I can't afford this kinda crap right now. So I figure I'll just wait till Tuesday and talk to one of the guys who puts together systems for people as a hobby.

 Monday night at work one of the guys tells me his daughter's computer did the same thing and what they did to fix hers. Sooo, I go home in the morning, unplug the tower, disconnect everything, open up the tower, and proceed to perform A FUCKING DUSTBUNNY EXORCISM. Put everything back together, cross my fingers, and turn it on. Viola, I am an idiot. And I now have a ritual cleaning added to my calendar.
