Shared on Fri, 01/04/2008 - 13:12 The weather in these parts is just -wtf?- this winter. It feels like we've had more snow by this point than the last two years combined. And now the forecast has the temp going up to 12C (54F) by Tuesday. If this holds true, there's going to be some nasty flooding next week. Glad I live on the 3rd floor.
On to the title subject. Up first, my youngest, Michelle. When she was a wee tiny lass my pet name for her was mouse. She was the extremely shy one who would hide behind dad and peek out from behind my legs.
Fast forward to the present and she is now in high school. She has taken her nickname and added "demon" to the front of it. She is enrolled in the program for gifted children at Bell High School in Ottawa and had a 92.75% avg on her last report card. She taught herself to play guitar and this summer saved up and bought a Fender Strat. In November she decided to take the National Novel Writing challenge(write a 50,000 word novel from scratch in one month). Passed the 50k mark with a couple of days to spare and is now at 80,000 words. She wants to get into video game design when done high school. I picked up Guitar Hero II for her and my son for Christmas and now more of my cd's have gone missing as they discover new 'old' bands. She turns 16 in September.
Future Guitar Hero....
