Nasty weather and Family Traditions

It is just rotten outside right now. Some snow, then freezing rain last night. Now it's going back and forth between freezing rain and ice pellets and will continue like this all day.

Last week my daughter took part in a family tradition that I started in high school. She broke her finger playing  volleyball. My son broke his arm playing football last year. I had my collarbone snapped in half playing football also. When my kids have kids, it might be a good idea to keep them away from the playing field when they get to high school.

For my extended family in the U.S. of A. who plan on seeing 300 when it comes out, a couple of links for contests.

First for a prize pack of goodies-  http://www.superherohype.com/contest.php

And for tickets to advance screenings in major cities-  http://www.movieweb.com/news/04/18104.php

Finally, today's funny picture

Um, have you heard of calcium, it does the body good! Just kidding, broken bones are no fun. I've broken a finger roller skating and left me with only one hand to flip the bird. Sad times.
