Ooooh, I am in trouble

So this morning at work I get into it on the phone with a customer. He's an pinhead who works in the produce department of a chain grocery store in the next town over. This guy is an idiot. Tell me, why would a company hire a person to look after a dept when that person hasn't a clue about the products themselves? Typical conversation with this guy:

Dummy: Do you have green peppers?

Me: What size?

Dummy: What sizes do you have?

Me: Medium and Extra large.

Dummy: How many peppers in a case of medium?

Me: 25lbs.

Dummy: You don't know how many are actually in the case?

Me: Nope.

Dummy: Hmmm...How about the X-large?

Me: Same deal, 25lbs.

(Side note...medium is a general term. Peppers vary in size. Sometimes 2= 1Lb. or 3= 1Lb. etc...)

Dummy: Ummm....ok.....ummm...I'll take 4 cases.

Me: What kind?

Dummy: Green

(Really deep breath)

Me: You already said that. What size?

Dummy: Oh....ummm.....medium....no.....X-large.

After already being there 10hrs AND trying to unload tomatoes off a truck that is 3 hrs late, said tomatoes needed for 9 of the remaining 10 trucks going out AND knowing that the drivers of these trucks are due to leave in 15min. and all their paperwork still needs to be done up, this guy's crap I don't need.

With the first Ummm I tell him "Could we hurry this up. I'm busy at the moment. What do you want?" And this ticks him off and he replies " How about a better fucking attitude? Every time I call I get a hard time from you." So after a couple of minutes of verbal jousting (and I never swore once) I finally get an order out of him and hang up. I'm expecting to get a blast from the owner Sunday night. Luckily, I'm not the only one who's had to struggle through one of this idiotstick's phone calls.
