Any Camera People Out There?

I know next to nothing about them myself. But both my pops and my sister are picture whores (my sis does it professionally on the side) and they swear by there Canon Rebel's. I think their aversion to Nikon has something to do with the extra lenses.

Well That is always the great debate I will tell you in most aspects it does not make much difference it is like the great Ford vs. Chevy debate in my opinion. But the first thing you will notice between is the weight Canons tend to be a lot lighter not just the bodies but the lenses too. Nikon tends to throw all their anti-shake mech into their lens, Canon does it in body. My question is do you have any pre-existing 35mm camera equipment, Auto-Focus lens, flashes etc. If you do then stick with what you have, older AF lens will still work with most newer equipment, I think the Nikon D40 is the only one that does not let old AF lens work.
