Back to School

Icey mentioned starting back to school in her blog.  I myself just started back to school and I have decided that I am too old for this crap.  I got my undergraduate in 1989.  Didn't have a clue what I wanted to do.  Got married and ended up in retail.  Marriage didn't last and neither did retail.  Went back to school and took a few classes to get certified to teach.  Did that for a couple of years.  Met my future wife and while dating her, went back to get my masters with her.  That was 12 years ago.  I swore then that I was done with school.  Two years ago, my wife went and got her education specialist degree.  She teaches also.  Education specialist is a step right below a doctorate.  Fast forward two years and my dumb ass decides to get mine.  I don't want to go back to school but as a teacher, it is really the only way to get a raise.  I teach in a poor school district and while the cost of living skyrockets, they keep telling us maybe next year we can give you a raise.  I decided to say screw that.  New degree=new raise.  It is not too bad.  We meet once a month for a year.  No tests.  Lots of reading and writing papers.  This time next year it will be worth it, I hope.
