Fable II or Fallout 3

Both are mainly single player experiences. Fable 2 has online co-op but the way they did it makes it kind of pointless. You can't join someone's game as your character and the only thing you take away from playing in someone's game is XP and money. It's kind of a waste. As for which one is better.... I gues youhave to go by what type of RPG you're looking for. Fable 2 is like a traditional medeval romp through fantasy land. It has aspects of RPGing and SIMs in the sense that you can build a life, work and what not, ikt's just not about adventuring. It's kind of a simulated medeval life that you're building. Fallout 3 is a post nuclear war era in the future. It from what i gather plays similar to Mass Effect where it's more of an action shooter rpg than straight up rpg. Since I loved oblivion , i would favor fallout 3. I also liked fable 1 but they released it unfinished then released a follow up game for full retail price that was the full game like a year later. So i felt slighted over that. So given both devs track records from their previous releases, my money would be on Fallout 3 if you could only buy one. I'm personally passing on both because i don't need a 100+ hour game a week before Gears 2 drops and i'm also moving so that factors in as well, i don't have time to play either.

I rented Fable 2, and its a fun game. I have to agree with most of what Tank said. As for Fallout 3, I haven't played it and while there are elements that look fun there are other elements that look annoying. I'll have to give it a rent. However, I completely agree with Tank on not buying either of them within 10 days of the Gears 2 launch. I'm taking next Friday and Monday off of work, with a holiday on Tuesday it will give me 5 full days of GoW2!!!

I have Fable 2, it's a great game, but I would also have to say go with Fallout 3 (which is currently sitting on my doorstep while I'm stuck here at work.) shoot me a PM tomorrow and I'll give you a full rundown on both.

Since you like guns and um guns. I would lead you towards Fallout 3.

i got Fable 2 and would recommend until Gears 2 comes out.

I rented Fallout 3 today. I will let you know how that goes after I put a few hours in to it.
