I Am Done With Drinking

I drank in college and right after college.  I really haven't drunk more than a beer or two a year in the past 15 years.  That is until this past summer.  This summer a bunch of us visited St. Louis and I toured the Bud factory.  I had a few and every day since then I have had 2 or 3 while gaming.  I know this doesn't seem like a lot to some of you.  I don't even get a buzz but I have decided enough is enough.  I am wasting money and calories.  I am overweight and these calories aren't helping.  I quit.  I had 3 left in the fridge this morning and I just poured them down the drain.  Wish me luck.

I go hot and cold. Sometimes there will be three beers sitting on the counter for months, and then it's a beer anight everynight till I go cold again. But if you don't get a buzz, why bother? Good luck! SC

GL man... I'm was up to 750 ml of Jim Beam a week. Haven't bought any in 2 weeks.... mmm... maybe on the way home... One thing I have found is that 'getting a buzz' really deters from me enjoying a lot of the games coming out... cause I ain't getting no younger in the reflex department.

Good luck. I'm the same way, I might drink a 40 ounce once every two weeks or so. I used to drink a lot in my younger days but I can live without it now days. I still like to smoke a little weed now and again though. 8)

Good for you! I can appreciate this. After being restricted on my alcohol consumption this past year because of my meds, I am now free to "drink" again and just don't have the desire. Calories that don't serve a purpose. Ah, to gain maturity.

good on ya! You can do this, it's more of a habit than anything really. When I was pregnant I drank 1/2 cranberry and 1/2 club soda. Until the gestational diabetes... then all I had was club soda. big boo urns.

My dad drinks a 12 pack of Coors Lite in 2 days. HE loves that stuff. I never got into drinking at all and for that i'm thankful. Just never really liked the taste of beer for some reason.

Good luck to you. You'll probably loose weight faster by giving up beer. It's amazing how much a difference it makes even if you don't drink much.
