Lady Vols & Lost Odyssey
Big congrats to the Lady Vols for number 8. I really thought that Stanford might win last night but my Vols spanked that butt.
Anybody played Lost Odyssey? One of my students was going on and on about it yesterday. I have mentioned before that the only rpg that I have ever tried was Oblivion and even that wasn't much. I want to make myself like rpgs but I just don't know. I need a good story. I enjoyed Bioshock for the story. The fighting was okay but that isn't what grabbed me. Can I get into rpgs? Do they have good stories? Does anybody really care? Stay tuned.

hmmm.... wow... to me this is a bit conroversial.. in that people who LOVE JRPGs (and I actually am one of them) say that the stories are epic, fantstic orgasmic... whatever. I say that a lot of them are thin and rely on stereotype and bad characterization. Often the heroes will do what they do becuase it's conviencent for hte story.\r

That being said: Lost Odyssey is pretty good so far. Kaim is the hero: he is 1000 years old, has lost his memory. You have to basically solve the mystery defeat teh bad guy.\r

With JRPGs the good ones are super complex. a ton of side quests, ots of \"stuff\" to find, side bosses etc.\r

PM me if you want more information on RPGs. You (I thnk) may like Mass Effect...
Meh, why have such a one tracked story? Get ahold of some local D&D groups. Make your own, have fun, and be WAY more creative.
