My 7 year old son plays on a travel baseball team.  One of the other dads and I became pretty good friends.  Last Thursday, he went in for gastric bypass surgery.  He just passed away today. He and his wife had adopted two little boys.  7 and 4.  Scary crap.  My doctor has been on me for two years to do the same thing.  Since discovering diabetes a month ago, I have lost 31 pounds.  I think I will keep doing what I am doing.  Keep his wife and kids in your prayers.

Sorry to hear about your friend. You hate to see kids have a loss like that at such a young age. Its hard enough on adults. It sounds like your on the right track though. Weight loss and changing eating habits is not an easy thing to do. Just dont give up.

Eat the best things you can. It's diabetes than messed me up. My blood sugar had likely been running high for quite some time and it's killing off the nerves in my hands and feet. Eat well, my friend. Eat well.
