Which Handheld Should I Get?

My youngest son keeps saying he wants a Nintendo DS.  Not sure where that came from since he is only 4.  Both boys are getting a Wii from Santa and the 5 year old is getting a basketball goal.  I am actually thinking about getting a handheld for the little guy.  They have Leapster handhelds but they get bored with them.  I don't think they are challenging enough.  I haven't even begun to look at these things.  Which handheld is the best?  How much are these things?  What games are good?

I like the DS - It's cheaper ($130) and it's a gaming system only unlike the PSP which is a browser, plays movies, games, etc. and has a higher price to prove it. For the DS, New Super Mario Brothers is awesome and you can't get a DS without getting Mario Kart. I also really like Worms...

PSP has better games in my opinion but the DS is more rugged. Also, The DS will let you play multiplayer across multiple DS systems with only one copy of the game.

I love the DS. Besides, the Nintendo games are better suited for the little guys...and they still have good games for us "bigger" kids. :D

He is good with video games. His momma doesn't know it but he has beat Halo 3 by himself. Of course, something I can play also is a big plus also. I think I will go look at these things. Thanks for the comments.
