Microsoft hurted my feelings

As some of you know I recently experienced the sadness and dismay of the RROD. For 22 days I was without COD4, COD5, Gears of War 2, all of my favorite multiplayer games. My lover had let me down. In my depression I did what many men do, I cheated on my her. I went out and found someone who could console me during those dark, lonely nights. Someone who was slimmer and sexier. Someone who was expensive and classy. Someone I could count on to make me smile... and her name is PS3.

I know it is the norm to hate on the PS3. I was very hesitant to buy one because of the numerous haters who were decrying the PS3 for being a worthless waste of cash. It was presented as nothing but a fancy Blu-Ray player. But being the rebel that I am I decide to go against the grain, drop the $400 bucks, and let the Fates have their way with me.

I first bought Metal Gear Solid 4. After playing that game I thought I had entered the 7th level of heaven. It was so polished, so intense, so dramatic, so perfect! I tried Metal Gear Online and my face lit up. This was no run n' gun noob game. There was teamwork and strategy and skill and sweetness! Then I moved over to Killzone 2's Campaign mode, it was amazing! So many bullets, so much blood, so much fun! I even enjoy getting my ass kicked in MP. The graphics are so gorgeous I don't even notice the bullets flying at me. Then the 2O2R clan came along and accepted me with open arms. It was amazing! A clan that was equally as cool as PCP. Then it was Motorstorm, Burnout Paradise, SOCOM.... the more I played the more I fell in love.

Well, last night guess who shows up at my door with a sheepish look on her face. Yep, it was little Miss 360. I plugged her in, fired her up, and gave her one last chance to win my heart. I lovingly placed my disc in her slot (sounds kinky huh?) and let her take me to a world of WWII carnage. It was good to be back.... for a little while.

It was ok. None of my PCP homiez were online so I was forced to play with Frenchie and his retarded cousin. I had fun, it was a nice little time there. But it was just nice. Not awesome. I of course expect my PCP guys to get me out of my funk with their cursing and yelling. I am sure once I get back in the groove with them things will start to look up.

Side note - I hear all kinds of negativity about the PS3 Community, but for the past 20 something days I have met mostly decent people. The Timmies will always ruin the day but other than that it is honestly not bad at all.

Anyway, while XBox was my first love and will always have a special place in my heart I have to say that the new girl in town is pretty damn awesome. Stay tuned to see what happens next in this steamy love triangle!
