I won't even tell you about that roller coaster. One day, she's great...looking up. The next day, she can't hold her own spoon. Oh wait, I just told you about it. haha
I got and "visit" her at the nursing home every day. Her son, that lives 3 hours away, wants me to go and keep my eyes and ears open, and keep him updated. Today, I came in and her room is all dishoveled. She's not in her own clothes. And, she looks exhausted. (She has a roomie that talks alllllllll night...and my lady is a light sleeper). So, I start asking questions...and a CNA comes in, I ask him the questions, and he says..."Let me find out what's going on."
So, a Nurse comes and asks me what my problem is. (OOOOOOhhh no, she didn't!) So, then I proceed to ask her all the questions I had from the beginning. She immediately starts talking down to me, and informs me that "We aren't the enemy, why are you mad at us."
OK...stop right there!
Just because you aren't the enemy, doesn't mean, you're doing all that you could, or should! SO, I proceed to tell her that I'm sorry I was upset. And, that it's my job to ask the right questions, and that's what I'm doing, and I feel like I'm getting the run around. UGH
I am not a child...I'm not your daughter, I'm sure as hell not your employee...don't talk to me like my IQ is in the toilet. Taking care of the Elderly is a roller coaster, people. But, I'm glad to be my lady's advocate...they need that!
