If you like Crackdown style sandbox gaming, you will love this game.  Instead of collecting weapons, you are upgrading the abilities of your own body.  Some of the abilities are obtained through "consuming" others, it's a very cool aspect.  You can run and gun or you can stealth your way through it.  It's up to you how you want to play it.

I was agonizing over what system to get this for.  As luck would have it, all the local game stores were completely out of stock.  I headed over to Blockbuster and they had it for PS3.  The game looks great on the PS3.  There are no slow downs even with DOZENS of enemies and explosions on-screen.  The engine is very good.  For what I hear, it performs almost exactly the same on the Xbox 360.  The transitions from each area of the city are pretty seamless.  There are only loads in between major objectives.

I have put several hours into the game and I am not sure how much I have left of the main story, but the game feels sufficiently long.  I am playing the game on Normal, and it has only really been overly challenging on two sections.  I'd like to play through it again on Hard when I finish on Normal.  At this point, Alex is almost godlike.  It's still loads of fun to tear through the game and run around the city.  Getting to the tip the Empre State Building is a bitch.
