This is my first Christmas as a husband. I got married on August 29th of this year. So, is there anything different I should do for my wife for Christmas this year?

So far I have been focused on the kids as that is what Christmas is all about. The kids are gonna get a shitload of toys this year and I am excited for them. Question is, what to get the wife? I had planned on getting her some nice earrings, ones that would match the bracelet I bought her on our wedding day but they were out of stock and were unable to get them shipped to Canada in time for Christmas. Then I thought about getting her a pimp ass watch. There are some really nice bracelet style ones at the jewellry shop I go to. I was extremely tempted to buy this one Calvin Klein watch but the price tag was close to 400 dollars. We had decided before Christmas to not go ballistic and spend tons of money on each other and instead focus on the kids. Basically we set our budgets at 150 dollars for each other so getting the watch would be breaking that agreement. I don't know if she would be pissed or happy if I did in fact spend that much. I mean, I have the money but I don't know how she would feel if I spent that much. Anyways, in the end I just got her gift certificates to a local clothing store so she can get some new work clothes(which she need) but I feel like I took the easy way out.

What else can I do for under 100 dollars that will show more thought than a cheesy gift certificate? I was also thinking about getting her a gift certificate to the spa or for a massage, but again, it is another gift card. It just seems so lame to me. Anyways, if anyone has any thoughts let me know.

Here is a recent boobilicious pic she had taken. This will give you an idea of who I am dealing with, lol.

You cant go wrong with the Spa idea, I use that one all the time to stay out of trouble!LOL. But put the certificate in some flowers or one of those gift baskets full of smelly soaps, and assorted bath shit. And no matter what you do, you have to top it next year! Keep that in mind.................LOL!

It comes down to what she likes. If you don't know yet you'll have to experiment. Work on that, not a lot of time but still doable.

I have been married 10 years.................to wife #2. Learned a lot from wife #1 to wife #2. You may set a spending limit at Christmas, but you can always spend more on her than she does on you and she will "protest", but it will be short lived. It really depends on what she likes, and you know her best. Some suggestions; 1. Create a scavenger hunt around the house for her to follow the clues to get her present. I did this to the poem of "Twas the Night Before Christmas"..........My wife loved it. 2. Give her coupon book that you made for a day out shopping, day at the spa, night out to dinner, massage, etc....... Women love to be pampered and that you took the time to personalize it for her, as well as want to spend time with her. These are all a big deal. 3. Easy way to step over the limit of a "set limit for Christmas". Buy her gifts from the kids, or *GASP* Santa left them for her, there not from you. Good Luck!!!!!!! Oh and Merry Christmas

Those are some good ideas TK. I might try a combo of #2 and #3.. #2 is a good idea. She would like that.

Chicks love stuff from bath and body works or anything that's 'pampering'. Like a full day spa treatment or something. Jewelery is hard to buy unles you know her specific tastes but at this point you' dneed to go to a local store to buy and not mail order. Is she a watch person? Watches are kind of a dieing breed, most people have a cellphone on them and they all have clocks. Some real soft fuzzy slippers and a matching fuzzy soft robe would be a good gift too, more or that 'pampering' junk. :)
