Shared on Sat, 04/14/2007 - 12:26I spent this past week in a 8x12 foot room assembling engines. The whole week. Usually it is only for a day to two and I get a break to do something else. Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's the room I can do without. My company is purchasing a new building and I will have atleast double the space I have now.
This is a 911 Turbo engine. It's a single turbo motor (930) from an 86 car. 3.3 liters and roughly 300hp. Stock rebuild due to owner driving with no oil. More money than brains....
Here, I am CC'ing a cylinder head to measure compression ratio.

One bank of pistons and cylinders assembled and installed.

Cylinder heads complete and installed on engine. Still a long way to go.

This is a 928 engine. It was a 5 liter engine that made 320hp in stock form. Now it is 6 liters and has a supercharger. It made over 600hp when I originally built it 8 years ago.

I still have a 2.7 944 engine to do, a 3.8 naturally aspirated 911 race motor, a stock rebuild on a 3.2 911 engine and a couple of transmissions. Hopefully we will move soon so I am not so crampt.....
