Erica has a peanut allergy and has to carry an epipen (or two actually) wherever she goes. The doctor 's office was so full, it was like a revolving door. Just handed my husband a phamplet (actually a whole package) and jsut circled a bunch of stuff. I am trying to get educated about it but the webbernets are a scary place to look up information on your kid.

Big Boooooo... Anyone else have a severe allergy?

Other than that, erica has discovered her shadow. And she is moving up to the senior Toddler's room. Work sucks and is boring. And Too Human is out today.

My young nephew has a severe peanut allergy, just going near a fast food restaurant without his two EpiPen's can be fatal. Unfortunately, a few years ago his mother (my cousin) died of brain cancer at the age of 26. He's now 6, has a nasty allergy and really doesn't have any sign of showing emotion or talking with other kids. Sad state of affairs. His dad has to be extremely careful where they eat and make sure all his teachers and such know about the issue.

peanut allergies suck, I've seen the effects of the...."wait, are there peanuts in this?" occurance. let us know how 2hum turns out, I'm debating it, but can't make up my mind.

Sorry to hear that JCat, hope she starts feeling better soon. they stick peanuts and it's oils in lot's of stuff. You'll learn all that. Hang in there, before you know it, you'll be a peanut expert. I have to say, Too Human looks very cool.

Watch out for asian food and fried foods that you don't cook yourself. Some restaurants may use peanut oil to fry foods and asian places are good about mixing nuts in with the stir fry. You have to question ANYTHING that is fried. Good luck to you.

It is amazing what has peanuts or peanut oil in it. Don't assume a thing! Always ask, read labels.
