Definition of a Timmie?

Hey.

There is a bit of controversy in my clan, I love them, so I won't go into details. Truth be told it's really a minor thing, but it brings up a huge question. One that I couldn't believe there was difference of opinion on:

What is the definition of a Timmie and/or Timmie behaviour?

Is it when people call you gay in a lobby? Sexual Remarks? Is it the age of the person only?

Is it behaviour? If so what is a no-go?  Cheating? Grieving? Modding?  Stacking the game so that you get experience points?  Being a sore looser?

Please let me know what you consider being a Timmie!

Bonus question:  As members of 202p, are we obligated to NOT be a Timmie?

when I first joined 2o2p I thought we should all be mature.. but realized we are all just people.. I am in certain clans for certain behavior. ClaNarchy being the one for total joking around. But I see immaturity timmy behavior everywhere. Is it as bad as just going out into the wild of the Xbox Live? No, but can get bad.

Timmy is that snot nosed little kid that says to me everytime he sees my GT......"Hey DaQueer!", or "Hey DaB#tch!" Its rude, uncalled for.....I don't know those idiots and don't appreciate the immature attitude. Not to say I don't like joking around. I joke around plenty with my clan. I even lovingly "peach punch" them after they die. But I KNOW them. Makes a huge diff. Timmy is that 9 year old next door that drops F bombs, as if he is cool....

Timmy behavior isn't just about age but a frame of mind. I've seen some timmy-like thing on the site. Hell, if you came into almost any of clan forum, you'd find plenty of remarks that could be construed as timmy behavior. I think the difference is that we all know and play with each other and it's taken as just fun ribbing. And it probably helps that it's not coming from a prepubcent voice who doesn't even know what half the crap hw spews means.

I think this video perfectly embodies a full blown timmie. It's not really an age thing, but most people who act this way tend to be under 25 :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex-TeSxHHLk

Cheating? Grieving? Modding? Stacking the game so that you get experience points? Being a sore looser? All of the above.

@ buzz: see I thought it was more the bahaviour rather than the language that I would be concerned about. But I just don't hear that from many people.

If the person acts like a dick and they are underage then they are a Timmy. If they act like a dick and are older than 25 then they are just a dick.

The kid in the video that kevtek posted is a prime example. Albeit he's an extreme case but that's pretty typical Timmie behavior. Personally I would have loved that clip to end after about 15 seconds with someone walking into the room and beating him over the head with his own xbox.

I think the video about sums it up. At a place to 2o2p, you have the freedom to be immature around your peers. Contrary to what a lot of people think, 2o2p is NOT built on maturity. Far from it. In fact, I always think its funny when clans think they are they only ones that joke around, tease each other, or post lude crap in their forums. Truth is, 98% of the clans here do that. Its the fact that we are all friend and peers that makes a community like this so great. Its the friends ships that we make. Friendships that could never be made with a child like you see in that video.

as a general rule, anyone below the age of 25 is a "timmy". This doesn't mean they aren't nice, mature timmies. It just means the fit the base definition of a timmy by being underage. Anyone can be a timmy though, and the behavior of the kid in kevtek's video is classic timmy behavior. therefore, the definition can be summed up logically like this. all persons under the age of 25 are timmies some persons over the age of 25 are timmies all asshats are timmies. draw a venn diagram and you'll see it better. :)
