Everything's Coming Up Kittens!*

The update:

I passed my GD test. That's right.... last time I was pregnant I failed miserably (I got about a 13-15 when you should be under 7.8) but this time: a pass! I have a bit of intolerance, so i have to watch it, but that's okay. No walking 3x a day, no checking blood 4X a day... no abstaining from things like ice cream... Hurray for my personal biochemistry!

We bought the house... all signed sealed, delivered. The inspector said that the house was "above average" and kept up really, really well. I will try to not trash it too much. Again... it's our dream home, and we aren't moving for 20 years. Hurray for not having to pack up crap.

We staged and cleaned our home. This was interesting. We actually flew in my Mom on points to come up to help since she a) offered, b) we had almost no time and c) she kicks ass at these sorts of things. It was telling... I got to see the difference between a Pro (my Mom) and an Amateur (me and Sean). Mom was a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom) and an Officer's Wife. That meant that whenever we were posted some body had to clean, and there would be a white glove inspection. Mom knows how to get things done. And she really knows what clean looks like. If it was me: I wouldn't have thought of doing half the stuff she did, but the place would have looked pretty dirty even after a full "JayCat cleanup." She had me clean baseboards and stuff like that. Anyway: She had the soldiers in line doing the work cause...

We sold our house! We actually had an offer site-unseen. We got above our asking price. No open houses, no walk throughs... nothing. But we DID need to clean the place up for the inspection. Gotta make a good first impression. And we did! And it's sold! Again: for above asking AND site unseen. Ottawa is SUCH a screwed up city...

We got to go out last night... we never do that. Saw Iron Man 2. Good popcorn flick. What else do you need? I didn't like that fact that Hammer did NOT get his comeupance. Something had to happen to that guy. And there was a 30s teaser for Thor (possibly Avengers... hard to know if Thor will be it's own thing) Anyone know who will be playing Thor and is he going to wear the short shorts? And are they hiring for someoen to oil up his legs? Cause I will volunteer. EDIT: Saw Bat's blog... the new Thor aint' that cute and he's wearing the full pants. let me meditate on this...

Bad things: Back is KILLING me. Muscle cramp all up the one side and upper back. Good news: I can always go for a massage and get it eased out. One thing I get the impression about in the US of A. You guys don't have that many liscenced (i.e. non-sexwork) massage therapists. I know XIce is registered and I hope is doing really well.
