Shared on Mon, 02/09/2009 - 17:22I remember when I was writing for Gamefocus, I wrote something of note once a week. I posted my articles in their entirety here in my blog, so I won't bore you with the details. I have been thinking of writing something for a buddy of mine on comics and how it's tough for the newb to break in, and even though I have the idea in my head: nothing has come to fruition. Looking at my sorry state of my own blog, recent lamenting the lack of gaming time among clan members, and this non existent aritcle has made me think.
How the fuck did I do it? How did I churn out article after article once a week?
Granted towards the end of my tenure at gamefocus I couldn't keep up, hence the fact that I was asked ot leave (HEEEEYYYYY wait a minute... did I get fired from a job that didn't even pay? LOL! Hell YA!) but I sure did a decent job for a while. I mean I don't have the writing chops of some of the writing team that is here at 2old2play, but I used to bang out an article or two.
Now? I can barely find time to game that much. Ah well... that is what reall ife is all about. And let me tell ya: I would not trade in my life for anything.
What other past time (other than gaming) do you wish you had more time to devote? For me it's writing. I was never that good, but I do have the drive to get better, and I miss the practice.
