The embarassment factor is much higher for a youngster without diapers. She will try harder and eventually train those muscles that keep it from coming. Good luck.

My niece did that too...and all I can say...is watch out for her going to "Play" under tables...that's where my niece always did her number 2 business... LOL

She will be fine, but will have accidents. Sometimes kids just decide now is the time, and there ya go. girl are MUCH easier than boys. May the force be with you.

ditto meemoos. Big girl panties, force liquids on her and set an alarm every twenty minutes. The first month of potty training a kid is really potty training the adult lol. If she makes a mistake just have her help you clean it up and dont get mad, just kinda do an "uh oh, we made a mess, lets clean it up..." Type of deal. It sounds gross, but I would also let her watch you go potty. "Oh look, mommy has to go potty! Yay mommy went in the potty! YAY!" Have a huge happy dance and party everytime she manages to even get a little in the potty. good luck, we are about 6 months away from that at our house and IM SO EXCITED!!!

Maybe you will luck out my eldest daughter also decided she was done with diapers and wanted big girl panties but she also went in the potty after peeing them one time because she didnt like the feeling of being wet and never had an accident with number 2 thank god.

If you caught my blog about our nudist, you probably know we let ours go without pants during potty training. We constantly asked her if she needed to go. She doesn’t always sense she needs to go on her own, but if asked to think about it, sometimes she realizes she does. About every 20-30 min we made her sit on the potty to try. We bought her very own pink potty which was a very big deal. We made everything fun. We skipped and sang going into the potty. We read books on the potty. We had a “you just peed on the potty” dance for after. Now one minute we see her wearing clothes, the next she is without pants with a piece of shit stained tp dangling from her bottom while she does the potty dance solo. Very adorable. I should also note that we’ve potty trained 3 Snuphettes. Each one trained differently. You may ultimately need to discover your own path Grasshopper.
