Shared on Tue, 06/02/2009 - 09:26As you may recall, I was trying to "not be so terrible" for a month. That meant being active everyday, cleaning out old junk and not buying anything that was not necessary. So. How did I do?
One out of 3 aint' bad, right? Guess which one I stuck to? Okay, I'll spill. I didn't buy anything unnecessary. Even PuzzleQuest Galactrix. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought. I mean I didn't go crazy about it. I still bought a Tim Hortons coffee when I needed that caffeine jolt. I went out for lunch instead of brown bagging it everyday, but I figured food didn't count. And, yeah: I didn't buy any crap for a month. It was quite liberating! I am going to keep an eye to my consumption from now on. It is a great feeling. My bank account ahs thanked me for it too.
As for the cleaning out the crap. No: I forgot about doing that. Whoops.
Being active everyday? Um... I did "okay". I started off fairly good, but didn't end so well. So this month I got a one month unlimited pass to the Yoga studio by my home. It's on the cheap this month: $50 off. I want to go 3-4 times a week. Maybe more, who knows. Last night was power vinyasa. Lots of strength and don't stop moving. Tongiht it's Yin yoga: gotta stretch out that connective tissue. I am getting better at my twists: my triangle pose kicks ass people. I am getting a bit proud of my flexiblity. I am not good at sports, I have never been able to say "I am better than average at (insert physical activity here)." I think I can do that now. I can easily touch my toes. When I am warmed up I can *almost* put flat hands on the ground. I will have to look up the percentage of the population that can touch their toes. Let me know: can you touch your toes? Without bending legs of course.
So what did I learn? I am flaky... well, I already knew that. I can do certain things when I put my head to it, but other things are just not on the high on my list. I will do better and keep going. I am blessedly average.
That's it for me: any E3 news you guys are pumped about? Natal has me VERY intrigued.
