New Years for me used to be in September, a new school year, and mine and my boyfriend's (now husband) anniversary, oh: and football season. It was a good place to start fresh. Now that my anniversary is at the end of August, and no more school: January 1st has become the start of the new year in my heart as well as my head.
But why do resulutions? Because it's important to keep growing, to contantly tell youself that you are going to be a better person in the coming year than in the one before. We can all improve. But in order to improve, you have to look back: did you accomplish what you set out to do a year before. Last year I wanted to be a better Mommy. I think I did that. Erica is healthy and happy and I am growing more confident in my abilities. I am on an on-going mission to stress less. Really, each and every single one of us here live like Princes compared to most of the people in the world. We are all fortunate and blessed. I just have to remember that the stupid stuff is not worth stressing about. My husband said something important to me last year. He said that if I were smoking, I would know I had to quit, cause it's bad for you. It shortens your life. Stress is the same thing. So, like a smoker addicted to nicotine: I need to quit stress and it's drama addiction.
But this year my mission (apart from the stress thing) is to be a better wife. I love and respect my husband so much. I love him to bits. Now I just have to do a better job of showing it. Now: I'm not a bad wife... but I could always do more to be a better partner. Actually, isn't that something we all could do? Be better to our loved ones?
And cause it's a gaming site: I also resolve to think more when I play CoD: W@W. I want to be a more strategic player. Let's see if my k/d ratio goes to about 1:5. That is a good goal forf me(I can easily be around1:10 now...)
But what is your at home resolution? And your gaming resolution for the coming year?
