Night time J-Cat vs Daytime J-Cat

My husband is scared of night time J-Cat. She is grumpy, hates breastfeeding their daughter and is argumentative.

Daytime J-Cat is full of sunshine and roses.  She loves nursing her daughter, especially when she says "It's nursing time." and Erica smailes and crawls over.

Nighttime J-Cat needs to go to Las Vegas... spend too much money on a craps table, drink too much rum n cokes, and assault mimes. (that was our last trip in a nutshell). 

Honestly Vegas is my happy place. The sky is so blue and it's so warm, and there is always something to do. Vegas is the perfect 4 day vacation. Any longer I think would be too much. It's great in little bites: leaves you wanting more.  We've been 3 times and each time was more fun than the last.  If anyone is going here is my advice:

The Best Sportsbook is the one in the Imperial. The rest are all electronic and wired into each other, the Imperial is some guy and a whiteboard. Because he's independent, his odds are different and may be better than some of the other books.

The best craps table is in this Casino on the strip, same side as the Flamingo, between the Flamingo and Venetian... It's a small casino, not a big hotel or anything. It has the Denny's right beside it. I can picture it but I can't place the name. Anyway: the tables are cheap and you can add on 1000x your bet. Most places are 10x max.

Super cheap buffets are downtown, not on the strip.  Best buffet overall is at the Alladin.

When you get back, if you are from Canada, everyone will ask if you saw Celine (Dion).

OK: now I need to go to Vegas. Thanks Blog... thanks alot.

I just came back from Vegas over the Thanksgiving weekend & believe me, the mimes were relieved you weren't there & they could celebrate a harrassment-free holiday. ;) hehe.. I actually head up there about every 2 months for much needed "Sin" time. San Diego (my home) is beautiful & sunny.. and goes right along with "daytime jason" (if I can relate to J-Cat) but Vegas is defintely a place of undercover naughtiness that we all need. So next time you & the man head up, meet me at The Venetian & we can beat up the mime that stands next to the gondola ride. -jay

The Wife and I went to Vegas once on a driving vacation in the west. Once was enough for me! I don't really enjoy gambling and there was something about the ambiguity of time in the Casinos that I found very disturbing. I DID, however think that driving through the desert at night and spying the city on the horizon was a surreal and enjoyable experience! All in all, with wintertime visits to Yellowstone, Devil's Tower, The Badlands and many other spots, Vegas was the part of the trip I remember least. I guess I'm just weird.....

I hate Vegas. It's like Mardi-Gras, two nights are much more than enough. Too much drinking, not enough sleep, horrible heat, it's just not a place for rest. But if you drive a half hour to Lake Mead, then you will have an incredible time. I rent a boat for a full day to got wakeboarding, snorkling, or just swimming in the water. It's a great time away from the Vegas insanity.

You read my mind on the craps table. The ones downtown in the old casino's on Freemont St are also worth the taxi ride down there. We always have more fun in the older casinos. Don't think they'll be there on the strip a lot longer.
