Shared on Tue, 06/08/2010 - 16:23I bend to your collective knowledge on US massage therapists. My guy (yes... a guy) was awesome and I actually slept pain free. Funny thing: he's married, has one kid and one on the way! We had lots ot talk about. And here I thought I was going to talk gaming or something...
It was interesting talking with Jordan about being a male massage therapist. It's rare. Women prefer women and men prefer ... women!
Would you guys be weirded out by a male MT? What if I called him a trainer and he did massage therapy? If it was for therapeutic purposes, would it matter? Do you care what gender your doctor is?
Is anyone here in an unusual job for their gender? I'm not. I work with the Feds and the # of women outnumber the men! Not in higher ranks (yet... I expect everything will even out in a few years...) But I am happy to report that "they" are thinking of getting rid of the women as a minority for hiring purposes in the Feds. I think that's a win for the Ladies! To be of equal numbers and not need the affirmative action... Crazy to think that only a generation ago I could be fired for being pregnant. Glad to see things have changed.
