Smallish announcement (and DAY-um is it hot)

Last time I was pregnant I was... warm. Now Im in the middle of a fucking heatwave. Have pity on the JayCat...

Mind you, we have AC. Clean cold water. Women have done more with less.  Im just happy to be in my basement now.

T minus 3 weeks until we move. T minues 7ish weeks until we have a baby. Im busy as all fucking get out.

So what does jaycat do? Create a new blog. Before anyone freaks out... I've told DSmooth and Doodi... I'm NOT leaving 2old2play. I just wanted something that I could control and something where I could reach a different audience.... And if any of you have started a blog: you know what that audience is... yourself and your partner! (Sean gives me 5 whole stars!!) Like my husband says, with any blog, your first goal is to make it so you want to okeep wriitng and keep inspired. And the first 6 months is when you talk to yourself. That's not a bad thing. I t gives you a chance to find your own voice and to figure out what works for you. So any feedback is appreciated.

So yeah: www.yellingatpixels.wordpress.com  is for gaming critism and "insight" you have seen that kinda stuff already from me if you've read this blog for a while. This blog on 2old2play will be for my personal stuff. This is where I will talk about my family, my own personal gaming BS and who knows what else. You can follow my "personal" twitter: @jay_cat and then the @yellingatpixels for my other stuff.

Kudos to you and good luck with that. I work in the Byward Market area, live near Casselman and have no AC in my commuter/beater car. Let's just say that the last 2 days have been very unpleasant.

If I may ask.... Would it not make more sense to have a blog that critiques games and your personal gaming BS on?..??.. lets say there is a site for gamers 25 and older, and that site offered blogs, free of charge to the members, has a huge membership, and has links to the most recent blogs on the front page..?...? I believe, IMO, you have your ideas mixed up. Talk about your personal BS in the new blog and your Gaming BS on the website for gamers, since the website is your intended audience and will likely award you the most viewers for the gaming information you want to put out there. If only there was a place that was 25+ and was all gaming all the time.......

You have some good stuff over there...Help me understand why you don't want to post it here? Do you not like the retarded reception blogs get on this site sometimes? Are you trying to make writing more of a real side project and want to separate yourself from the site to open up other opportunities? What's up???

Oh man. Why not here? Many reasons. I'll have more control there. I can see where traffic comes from, and that will be a learning experience. I can figure out how to market shit on line which could be fun. And sometimes I feel as though I don't necessarily fit in with the whole 2p2p athetic. I need the opportunity to talk to myself for a bit. Sea

Ug posted before I was done. Sean also encouraged me to blog off site. You have to grow more when you aren't talking for friends. And known detractors. I hope to develop more skills. But I'm not going anywhere!
