so pissed off. And a question about sports

Went to get winter tires on my car. I had an appointment and it was supposed to take 45 min. I get there and they quote me an hour 20 minutes (so that's close to double the time for those keeping track at home). OK: what can I do. Erica and I went shopping, came back hour and a half later.  Theyare jsut starting work on it. Supposedly they coudn't find the car. Breathe.... breathe...

OK: I admit I parked a bit far away, but it wasn't that far aND I told them where I was. To topit off I have an alarm and my horn beeps when you lock the door witht he remote. Couldn't find the car? I call BS!  Come on guys! use your problem solving skills!  SO another 40 minutes later, I am finally on the road. Erica is screaming cause it's WAY past nap time by now. She isn't napping cause she's overtired, she's in her crib: one part growling, one park talking/singing one part whining. It's going to be one effing hilarious day.

Last night we were watching a bit o football: the end of the Pittsburg/Baltimore game. Baltimore was getting pwned.  Here's the thing. When I see this, and because I've never been in competitive sports, I'm like "how does the loosing team even get up the energy to go out there an lose?" no "I am sure they will comeback." or anything like that. Nope they are going to get creamed and that is that! not much of a competitor

So that brings me to my question. You are a sports interviewer. You have a "magic question." that magic question forces the person to answer 100% honestly. None of this "well we give 110%" BS. a real answer. It has to pertain to sports, so what would your question be?  Mine is "Have you ever wanted to quit a game."  My husbands question was "Who do you hate on your team?"  What would yours be?

New avatar pic: that's me and E, obviously! It was taken at a park about 5 minutes away form our house. Theone good thing about Ottawa weather is fall. The rest sucks, but fall is amazing.

MIne would the quit question. I have never played competitive sports either. There is no i in team, and I dont play well with others. But on the other hand if you are on the losing team and you dont go back out and give it all, you would wonder what could have been. There have been a lot of "miracle" come backs in history. Plus the other team will a lot of the time let the guard down thinking they have the game easily won.

I enjoy reading all your posts Jcat and yes that Katamari is addictive but it will have to wait until I am bored with Halo3 and Call of Duty 4.

It is a job that has to be done. Sometimes, you go out looking for cheapshots. Sometimes, you go out to prove to yourself that you're not a quitter. Sometimes, you tell yourself "We'll get those S.O.B.'s next time" ala the Ray Lewis interview after the game. Plus, it's not like they can go hide anywhere. Not like disconnecters.

It is tough going out onto the ice/field whatever when you are losing badly. It can be frustrating and somewhat embarrassing. I played hockey in high school and we weren't the greatest team and my freshman year was the first year our school had a team so we weren't very good. We only won a couple games, but honestly, never did a point come in a game where I just wanted the game to end or I wanted to give up. Sometimes you know in you're head that you don't have much of a chance, but I still loved every second I was on that Ice.. The being said, I would ask 5 canadian/american hockey players and 5 european ones if they liked the recent flurry of hockey rule changes.
