Bought a house.

Have yet to sell house.

Have yet to *clean* house.

Have preschooler and I'm pregnant.

May have to watch diet due to Gestational Diabetes.

Did I mention my husband and I have to clean, organize and stage a home with a preschooler underfoot? Anyone like to move furniture? Lemme know! I pay in beer!

And my Mother is coming up to help. Which is good: she's a Military Wife. That means she can have our place in tip top shape in 1 day.

Actually it's busy but it's all good. Last night we were up until 10:30 (that's when I crapped out: the heat gets to me). I cleaned/organized our closet (it looks fantastic!) and Sean did "downstairs." I have no idea what he actually did (haven't een down there yet) but he's a monster at this stuff....

So... send good (cool) vibes this way! And I'll be around... not that much for the next week!

Ohhhh, I feel your pain. I am, of course, not pregnant, but am right in the middle of the packing and moving thing. And then, there is the unpacking. Ugh. And, am I so busy and out of it that I didn't even notice the thumbs are back? Yikes!

Exciting times in the Jcat household :) I would help moving furniture, but I kinda live too far away - unless you wanna pay for a plane ticket? ;)

Take care of yourself and the one your carrying. Don't over do!!!! Good luck getting everything squared away. PS doing anything with a pre-schooler is tough. :)

We need to trade weather, somehow california weather ended up in ottawa. I know how to stage, but you'll need to get most of your stuff out of the house to stage properly. Basically you put the basic number of pieces in the room to define what it is and everything else must go. So like a dining room, just have the table/chairs and the overhead light. Get rid of the china cabinet or buffet table or whatever else you have in there. Unless it's huge but if it's just an average size room, less makes the room look bigger. For the living room, a couch and coffee table. If you have a huge sectional, that'll make your room look smaller. Use just a two or three person couch maybe from another room or rent one. Bedrooms likewise, bed and dresser, nothing else. If you have a king master bed but the room is only really designed for a queen, go rent a queen otherwise people will be left with the impression that your master is small. There should be no personal taste nick nacks or pictures around. Everything that's decorative should be neutral. On the other hand though, you are in Ottawa and you say the market is on fire so maybe it doesn't matter. People may just buy your place site unseen. So put some work into it but don't go overboard becuase that would probably be wasted effort.

Congrats! Tank I hear you on the weather, I can live without it being hot, but the rain is a bit much. Oh well, we need it.
